RENTAL INFORMATION
Homes: Renting a home is possible in Albuquerque. A house with about 1400 square feet of living area starts around $500 per month plus utilities. Move-in requirements are normally the first and last months' rent plus $70.00 to $150.00 deposit, or first month plus $300.00 deposit. Larger homes rent for up to $1200.00 per month.
Apartments: A wide range of apartments is available. Most require at least six months lease and a damage deposit. If you have children or pets, finding a good apartment gets more difficult. The nicer apartments and complexes are quite new. The sizes range from 750 to 1100 square feet with storage space at a premium. Some of the newer complexes have a combination of apartments and two level townhomes plus many clubhouse amenities. Rents range from $225.00 per month up to just about anything you want to pay. There are several apartment location services in town, some at no cost to the renter. They might be helpful.
