- Albuquerque,
located in Bernalillo County, is the population
center of New Mexico. Over one-third of the
state's population lives in Albuquerque.
- Albuquerque
is an artisan center and is the home of the
prestigious New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair at
the State Fairground each June and November.
- Albuquerque
was the home of Ernie Pyle, the famous war
correspondent. Pyle wrote, "If we could only
have one house, then it has to be in New Mexico,
preferably in Albuquerque." Pyle's home is
now a memorial library.

well as 2127 student employees.
